I wanted to capture movement in a still photo. To this end, mixture of strobes and continuous lighting was used to achieve the streak effect. I put wires in the shoelaces to position them exactly. All effects were done in camera, and only a minimum of retouching was done. See below for photos taken with just continuous lighting creating just a blur of motion.
