In a sea of whites, teals, and reds that make up the toothpaste aisle, the clean black packaging design of Moon Oral Care stands out. The products’ key ingredient is charcoal and I immediately thought, “black on black” while my mind swirled with images of the Apollo moon landing. Sometimes things are just that easy. Sometimes. To set off the smooth matte surface of the packaging, I laid the products on a mixture of fine black sand and black glitter.
